Western Atlantic University School of Medicine (WAUSM) is a medical school on a mission to inspire and empower the next generation of healthcare leaders. Focused on innovation, excellence, and accessibility, WAUSM prepares students to make an impact while fostering a forward-thinking learning environment.
WAUSM came to Sussman seeking a full brand identity that reflected the school’s mission and values, stood out in the competitive higher-education landscape, and provided a flexible foundation across all channels. Establishing credibility was critical for this new Bahamas medical school, and the website needed extra care to meet strict accreditation requirements.
We developed a visual system that balances credibility and approachability, anchored by a caduceus logomark and a navy and bright green color palette to keep the identity fresh and energetic. The system translates seamlessly across digital and print, establishing a cohesive presence that inspires confidence in students, faculty, and partners
The new brand was very well received by stakeholders, providing WAUSM with a strong foundation for marketing, admissions, and communications. Since earning CAAM-HP accreditation, the school has successfully trained the next generation of doctors, which is something I’m super proud to have helped support, especially at a time when the profession is so critically needed.
